30 seconds before December 19, 2023, an earthquake of magnitude 6.2 attacked Jishishan Bonan, Dongxiang and Salar Autonomous County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
Under the leadership of PROYA Foundation, PROYA activated the emergency response mechanism, and cooperated with relevant departments to quickly organize, allocate and purchase emergency rescue materials for transportation. 68,200 units of food, cold prevention products, women's care kits and daily necessities among other relief supplies with an amount of about RMB 2 million were donated to the disaster-stricken areas to support local emergency rescue and ensure living for the victims. On December 19, the first batch of such supplies were transported to those areas overnight.
Due to the cold wave, the temperature in the disaster-stricken area was below zero, and the victims had a high demand for warmth. PROYA mainly purchased tents, quilts, cotton-padded coats and trousers, military coats and other cold prevention products. In addition, there were women's care kits containing menstrual pads and other women's necessary supplies, as well as cold prevention products such as moisturizer, warm paste and ginger tea. PROYA hoped to give full play to the advantages of a beauty company in focusing on and understanding women and try its best to provide more intimate supplies for the victims. As of December 21, all the supplies were sent to Jishishan County and delivered to the disaster-stricken area at 5pm on December 23.
