Our Approach

  • Safety is the foundation of our products

To ensure the safety of our products, PROYA has divided its safety assurance system into two stages: "raw materials" and "products".

First, we perform a safety evaluation on all cosmetic ingredients. We evaluate domestic and international regulations, global safety evaluation data, scientific literature, and research findings to prudently determine the safe usage conditions for each ingredient. We only use ingredients confirmed safe through assessment and where hazardous substances are kept at controlled levels. This practice runs through the entire product development process. Furthermore, we conduct regular audits and dynamic management of raw material suppliers to ensure continuous compliance, stable supply, and product excellence.

At the product stage, we follow a rigorous safety evaluation process for finished products. Strict safety testing is mandatory before market launch, followed by a comprehensive safety evaluation based on domestic and international regulations.

PROYA integrates safety throughout the entire product lifecycle—from ingredient selection and formula development to manufacturing and post-market monitoring—implementing systematic, end-to-end safety controls.

  • Ingredient safety

Our Products Are In Strict Compliance With Regulatory Requirements and Do Not Use Any Banned Ingredients

Banned cosmetic ingredients are prone to safety risks. There are more than 1,400 kinds of banned ingredients or plant (animal) components in cosmetics as listed in Tables 1 and 2 of China's Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics 2015.  The cosmetic regulations of the European Union, the United States, Japan and other countries and regions also include many banned cosmetic ingredients. Common banned ingredients include heavy metals, dioxane, asbestos, methanol, diethylene glycol, acrylamide, benzene, hydroquinone, phenol, antibiotics, hormones, coumarin and psoralen.

Controversial Ingredients Are Continually Being Reduced or Banned From Our Product Formulas

The Company strictly complies with the requirements of relevant domestic regulations and standards, while also paying close attention to the requirements of relevant international regulations and standards. It reduces or prohibits the use of controversial ingredients in its products, plans replacements and upgrades for past formulations that historically used such ingredients, with the purpose of continuously eliminating and reducing the use of controversial ingredients.

We also give preference to using environmentally friendly packaging materials and apply low-carbon and environmentally friendly green manufacturing processes to ensure the safety, greenness and sustainability of our products.

    Product Ingredient Information Disclosure

To ensure consumers' right to know and protect consumer interests, PROYA discloses specific information about product ingredients on product packaging in strict compliance with national laws and regulations to help consumers make better choices of the products they wish to use. We value consumer feedback and suggestions and continuously improve our products to provide a safe, reliable, and transparent cosmetic experience. In 2026, PROYA was selected as one of the first 12 pilot enterprises for cosmetic electronic labeling in Zhejiang Province. This is a natural extension of our long-standing strategy for product ingredient transparency.

    About Natural and Chemical Ingredients

Throughout the long history of human development, the production of daily-use chemical products has long been dominated by natural ingredients due to technological restrictions.  With the rapid development of the modern chemical industry in the early twentieth century, chemically synthesized ingredients emerged as the mainstream ingredients for daily-use chemical products due to their excellent performance and high cost effectiveness. As daily-use chemical products became more widely used, an increasing risk of human health hazards caused by using chemical ingredients or risky ingredients contained therein in products became evident, so the market turned its attention back to natural ingredients.

However, just because an ingredient is natural does not necessarily mean that it is safe to use, and the use of natural ingredients in daily-use chemical products still requires a safety assessment. We never treat natural and chemical ingredients differently, nor do we ever stop exploring them. We design and implement an effective ingredient screening system, and verify the safety and efficacy of ingredients through various tests, as we are committed to finding greener, safer and more effective ingredients for consumers.

About Ingredients That Pose a Safety Risk

Safety-risk substances in products refer to materials generated or introduced during raw material sourcing, packaging, production, transportation, or storage that may pose potential health hazards upon human exposure. Safety-risk substances typically exhibit clear toxicological traits, such as irritation, sensitization, phototoxicity, photosensitization, genotoxicity, repeated-dose toxicity, reproductive and developmental toxicity, or carcinogenicity, causing skin irritation, erythema, tingling, dermatitis and other cosmetic adverse reactions that endanger human health. They can also produce greater harm to animals and the environment. Laws and regulations in various countries set clear restrictions on substances with safety risks, and they are classified as restricted or banned ingredients.

To ensure product safety, we subject safety-risk substances to the same level of scrutiny as raw materials and conduct systematic safety assessments At the raw material stage, we identify potential risk substances based on their source, physicochemical properties, and manufacturing processes, strictly controlling their content via quality specifications. For finished products, we use validation methods—including microbiological, heavy metal, and pesticide residue testing, as well as toxicological and human safety trials—to ensure that exposure levels meet legal requirements and that products remain safe under normal, reasonable, and foreseeable use.

  • Reliability and traceability of raw materials

Product safety largely comes from the safety of raw materials. The Company carefully selects high-standard raw materials and develops a strict quality control process for raw materials to ensure product quality.

Controlling the Source of Raw Materials

The first step in ensuring quality is controlling the source of our raw materials. We insist on source control and conduct comprehensive quality audits on each raw material supplier entering the raw material warehouse. Additionally, we only partner with qualified raw material suppliers to ensure that we can control the reliability and traceability of raw materials. While working closely with international cosmetic raw material companies, we have signed strategic cooperation agreements with BASF, Ashland, CRODA, Evonik Industries, DSM and other raw material giants to guarantee the demand for unique raw materials. In line with national regulations, we have established a comprehensive safety information management system. This system archives and traces the origin, quality specifications, and safety data of raw materials, ensuring product safety from the very beginning.

Adhering to the Quality Control of Raw Materials

We are dedicated to providing high-quality and safe cosmetics. For each batch of raw materials entering the company, we do not rely on the results of the test reports attached to the raw materials, but rather set up our own stringent quality control standards under the premise of compliance with regulations and reasonably attainable levels. Our engineers test each batch of raw materials on a multidimensional basis on physical, chemical and microbiological indicators to ensure the purity of raw materials and strive to control the trace impurities, heavy metals and risky substances naturally present in raw materials to the lowest level practically achievable. Only raw materials that pass rigorous testing will be used, while ensuring that the product is safe for the user and the surrounding environment while in use.
