Recently, an employee of Proya Cosmetics captured a powerful moment on camera: a one-legged delivery rider, crutch in hand, swiftly moving forward. That single frame became the starting point of something deeply moving.
In the video, the rider clutches a delivery bag in his left hand, supports himself with a crutch in his right, and propels forward on a single leg. The employee uploaded the clip with a simple caption: "Wishing you safety". Later, he reached out to the rider directly, offering support, and reported the story to the company in hopes of gathering more help.
The video quickly struck a chord online, garnering nearly 400,000 likes. Qianjiang Evening News picked up the story, and media outlets across the country followed. Netizens even turned the moment into illustrations. The comment section was filled with respect and care for the rider.
Through the employee, Proya Foundation contacted the rider, Wang Wenqiang. He explained that he was born with one leg and does not need a prosthetic, but hopes to learn new skills and find a better-suited job. In response, Proya Foundation partnered with the Xihu District "Little Brother Academy" to visit him, offering a free health check-up, sharing information on training programs, and encouraging him to choose courses based on his interests and explore more possibilities.
Wang's simple "thank you" reminded us that true public welfare is not about charity from above, but empowerment through understanding. There may always be challenges, but together, we can hold up clear skies for those who keep running.
Proya Foundation will continue to support vulnerable groups, because even the smallest act can help lighten someone's path.
