17 Years of Affectionate Accompaniment: A New Journey for Rural Education Dreams

In August 2024, the PROYA Foundation, in collaboration with the Hailiang Rural Education Revitalization Foundation, organized the "PROYA Hope Primary School Teacher Study Tour Public Welfare Project". Principals and teachers from PROYA Hope Primary Schools, along with outstanding local principals, were invited to Hangzhou for a study tour. Through expert lectures, field visits, and exchange learning, the project aims to inspire new ideas for running rural schools and enhance teachers' professional skills and overall competence, injecting new vitality into the development of rural education.



Daily training sessions at the Hailiang Education Park were compact and fulfilling, covering everything from macro strategies in educational management to micro-level teaching techniques, with every expert sharing their knowledge generously. Additionally, Hailiang Education led the teachers on field visits to Hailiang Primary School and Simin Primary School.



On August 5, the teachers made their first visit to the PROYA Group's headquarters in Hangzhou. The PROYA public welfare team warmly welcomed the guests and provided a detailed introduction to PROYA's development history and its journey of growth alongside Hope Primary Schools. Principal Su Xiaodong also shared the changes and achievements of the school over the years. Looking at the photos touched the hearts of every PROYA employee who had visited the Hope Primary School.



This enriching study tour concluded successfully. The teachers all expressed their intention to bring back the experiences and insights to their rural schools, using their greater enthusiasm and broader perspectives to educate and accompany the children. Principal Su of PROYA Hope Primary School said, "As a teacher, emotion alone is not enough. We must also have stronger professionalism. We need to prepare lessons closely around the curriculum standards. We must firmly grasp our objectives, prepare for the students and understand their learning situations. Although the training period was short, the significance of learning and its impact on the teachers is immeasurable. We will certainly take what we've seen and learned back with us, delve deeper into it, and adapt it to our school's specific needs for use in our work."
