On June 2, 2024, the PROYA Foundation held a donation ceremony at Yueqing Fifth People's Hospital. Chairman Fang Aiqin donated five hemodialysis machines to the hospital on behalf of the foundation, providing hope to dialysis patients in the Dajing area.
During the donation ceremony, Chairman Fang Aiqin mentioned that a week prior, she received a fundraising letter regarding the hemodialysis equipment at Yueqing Fifth People's Hospital. To facilitate convenient home hemodialysis for a larger number of uremic patients and eliminate the need for extensive travel, the hospital's hemodialysis equipment was operating at maximum capacity, necessitating urgent upgrades to some of the equipment. Upon receiving this information, Chairman Fang Aiqin promptly made the decision to donate hemodialysis machines, hoping to offer timely and effective treatment to the patients.
Having witnessed the project's implementation, Chairman Fang Aiqin said emotionally, “The PROYA Foundation was established in 2023 with company funding and an application to the Civil Affairs Department of Zhejiang Province. My husband, PROYA Chairman Hou Jun, and I are all natives of Dajing. Dajing Town is not only our hometown but also a place that we will always care for deeply in our hearts. Last year, we donated RMB 3 million to the Dajing Branch, Yueqing Charity Federation to support poverty alleviation, agricultural assistance, and medical aid initiatives in Dajing Town. I hope to contribute to my hometown, helping those in need, and making our community a better place.”
For over a decade, PROYA founders Hou Juncheng and his wife have been deeply committed to their hometown, actively engaging in philanthropy. They established the “Sunflower Fund Medical Aid For Children & Hou Juncheng College Entrance Examination Scholarship” at the Dajing Center to support local education. They personally donated over RMB 9 million to aid in the construction of roads and cultural halls in Fengcun Village. This recent donation of hemodialysis equipment also brings great relief to local patients suffering from uremia. Chairman Hou Juncheng once said, “Having grown up in mountainous regions, I firmly believe that we should always be grateful to society, give back to society, and contribute to social development to the best of our abilities and responsibilities.”
